About Kevin
The person who designs it builds it.
I’m Kevin, founder of KEGO Carpentry. I trained in construction and worked on building sites in Argentina, Australia and Sweden before settling in Girona. That’s why every project goes through a 3D design before we start: you know exactly what you’re getting before I cut the first board. I’m on site myself, and I take care of what the photos don’t show: substructure, levels, joints, finishes and fixings.

What everyone asks before we start.
How much does decking cost?
It depends on the area, the material and the substructure. With photos and rough measurements we can give you an estimate within 24–48 hours, without visiting your home. The fixed quote follows the site visit, together with the 3D design.
Does composite need maintenance?
Hardly any: soap and water every now and then. It never needs varnishing or oiling, and if it gets marked, a light local sanding removes the mark.
How long does the work take?
Pool decking of around 30 m² takes 4 to 5 days. It depends on the substructure, access and the weather.
Do you charge for the site visit?
Before visiting, we ask for photos, rough measurements and your idea. With that we give you an estimate within 24–48 hours. If it fits what you’re looking for, we arrange a free site visit.
Do you charge for the 3D design?
Yes. The cost depends on the size of the project and we tell you before we start. It’s ready in 2 to 3 working days, and if we go on to do the work, it’s deducted from the quote.
How do I pay?
In three instalments: one when you confirm the job, which secures the dates and materials, one during the work and the balance on completion. By bank transfer, with an invoice. Everything is set out in writing in the quote.
Do you work in my area?
Yes, if you’re within an hour of Girona: the whole province, from Figueres and Roses to Olot, Blanes and the Costa Brava. Depending on the project, we also work in and around Barcelona.
What guarantee do I get?
Two guarantees: the manufacturer’s warranty on the material (20 to 25 years on composite, depending on the brand) and ours: a 2-year installation guarantee, in writing in the quote, on every project carried out to our technical proposal.
